兒童青少年矯正-開咬與精緻微笑建立

    一般年紀較小的孩子最常遭遇到的問題是牙齒還沒換完，而著急的父母每天看著這樣的牙齒實在難以忍受，而要矯正醫師解決他們的問題。像注重效率與外觀的矯正醫師，此時會優先考量矯正的時間與複雜程度，而在最短的時間解決所有問題，而非僅僅處理局部的牙齒，因為這樣不僅讓矯正時間過長，而口腔衛生更會常常造成不可逆的蛀牙危險。

 Most common orthodontic problem of younger age people is there dentition is not permanent yet (mixed dentition), but their parents already can not stand their cosmetic problem and want us orthodontists to resolve their problem. I'd say, if the most efficient way to finish as younger case like this, do need to consider how fast and the integrity of completion of the treatment, instead of treating couple of teeth only. Because you may not know, doing this would make the risk of caries (cavity) higher and even prolong the whole process of orthodontic treatment.

 開咬問題常常合併暴牙和後牙萌發過度，或舌頭的不良習慣造成。我的治療計畫中，並沒有拔除任何一顆牙齒，符合其父母期望的，而將整個齒列向後移動，上顎後牙往上移動，讓下顎骨旋轉，並且參考外觀微笑的嘴唇位置，將其前牙移動至最佳的位置。

Open bite usually accompany bimaxillary protrusion and over-eruption of the molars. As usual, my treatment plan is to make the whole dentition backward and intrude the upper posterior teeth to counterclockwise rotation of the mandible to make the chin more prominent and align the front teeth in the best esthetic way. The parent did not want me to extract any of her teeth and finally I complete this mission.
