深咬 (Deep bite) 指的是上排前牙過度覆蓋下排齒列，甚至可能完全覆蓋住，而造成不當的牙齒磨耗，或牙肉受到不當壓迫。這種現象常見於二級咬合。也因為咬合的不當受力，影響使用方式，長期的結果常常造成顳顎關節的不適。

深咬的問題其實充滿著矯正陷阱，因為常常會讓醫師以為拔牙可以較容易解決問題，而拔除上下共四顆小臼齒來解決咬合問題。然而，拔牙的真正決定因素其實是結束後的『臉型』與『笑容』。像該位患者已經擁有夠立體的鼻型與下巴形狀，我採取上顎前牙向上，向後移動。而下列前牙則是向下，向右的改善中線問題，而得到理想的結果。
